"My Father began as God"

A request for information:


We have been asked to locate words to the poem, first line of which is

     "My Father began as God"

Our searches so far have revealed that the writer was an Australian poet
from South Australia, Ian MUDIE (1911-1976) but alas we cannot locate
details of the poem or the volume from which it was taken.

Any further information on the matter would be much appreciated.
