Target: Viking's "The Whole Story"

Hi,

I was looking at the new acquisitions in our community college
library and saw two volumes of a Viking series called "The Whole
Story,"  illustrated, annotated, unabridged classics.  The two
here are _Call of the Wild_ and _Around the World..._  Has
anyone else seen/purchased any of this series?  What do you
think about it?  My first reaction was to wish they weren't
on glossy paper.  Haven't had time to study them further.
