Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, a suburb of
Dallas, Texas, has immediate openings at both of its high schools for a
second library media specialist.

The job goals are to:
- provide instructional resources and information services to
administrators, students, and staff; - maintain an enriched educational
environment containing a wide variety of materials that will
        invite intellectual growth;
- aid all students in acquiring the skills needed to take full advantage
of information technology;
- provide information, instruction, and service using a wide variety of
technology.

The district serves approximately 22,000 students, 5,000 of them high
school students.  Each library media center is supported by full time
aides and an active volunteer program.  Job qualifications are: 1)
master's degree preferred, and 2) valid Texas teacher's certificate or
temporary certificate.  Salary and benefits are competitive with other
large metropolitan school districts and well above the state minimum;
CFBISD does recognize previous experience.
