In six years I've never had a broken or damaged CD-ROM. For the first four
years they came in caddies so they were protected from sticky hands, or
worse ...
I lament the passing of the caddy and still keep my most frequently used
disks in them for protection.
I also remember a demonstration in the early days of someone cooking an egg
on A disk, cleaning it then showing it was stil usable [don't try this at
home, folks...]
I'm surprised you've had so much damage, Kathy
