In six years I've never had a broken or damaged CD-ROM. For the first four years they came in caddies so they were protected from sticky hands, or worse ... I lament the passing of the caddy and still keep my most frequently used disks in them for protection. I also remember a demonstration in the early days of someone cooking an egg on A disk, cleaning it then showing it was stil usable [don't try this at home, folks...] I'm surprised you've had so much damage, Kathy ----------------------------------------------------------------------- _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ Duncan Grey, Head of Resources :Duncan.Grey@a4503.camcnty.gov.uk _/ _/ Hinchingbrooke School, Brampton Road, Huntingdon, UK _/ _/ http://edweb.camcnty.gov.uk/hinchingbrooke/index.html _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/
