        A teacher in our building is trying to locate a book.  However,
        she can't remember the title or author. If you can help, please
        let me know.  The details of the book are as follows:

         -- Main character is female and an architect
         -- The book begins with a birth
         -- The architect mentioned above moves to a small town that
                has a quarry
         -- There is a deaf lady in the same town who owns a general store
         -- It is a romance novel
