Newsgroups: va-pen.mailing-list.lm_net Path: nessid From: nessid@pen.k12.va.us (Nancy N. Essid) Subject: Target:Curriculum leaders? Message-ID: <DzAKyp.23r5@pen.k12.va.us> Date: Tue, 15 Oct 1996 00:49:37 GMT Organization: Virginia's Public Education Network This question could apply to elem., middle, or sec. I have been doing some reading on the role of library specialists in curriculum development. Several authors state that we should take on leadership roles in this area and be a key player in the development of curriculum for all subject areas. However, several school librairans feel that they may not have the expertise in every subject to play this role. They feel they should help empliment the curriculum after it has been established. I throw this question out to all of you. Should we be curriculum leaders or supporters? Please send replies to:nessid@pen.k12.va.us Sorry I don't have a fancy footnote to my messages! I'm still a novice at this! Thanks for your responses.
