ELEM:Book title--pointed heads

     My principal is looking for a book that she remembers as one of her
favorites when she was a child.  She says it is about a town named Opie
or Opus and the people had pointed heads.  She says there is a song that
goes with it too.  The point of the story was that the people all looked
different but inside they were just like everyone else--e.g. Don't judge
people by their appearance.  Do you know this book?
