ate: Tue, 3 Sep 1996 13:47:01 -0400 Greetings from Benfield Elementary School in Severna Park Maryland. We have 375 students from K-5. Since we are located so close to Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay, we love sailing and blue crabs.Have a wonderful year! Subject: KeyPals Club sent me a copy of that poem from the Nov. 1995 "Teen" magazine. What a great help this has been. *********************************************************************** Kathy Graves, IMC Director/Librarian Siskiyou County Superintendent of Schools Office 609 South Gold Street, Yreka, CA 96097 e-mail: kgraves@sisnet.ssku.k12.ca.us Phone: 916-8420-8427 hmpg: http://www.sisnet.ssku.k12.ca.us/~imcftp FAX: 916-842-8436 AV Dept: 916-842-8428 Library: 916-842-8430 *********************************************************************** For those of you looking for ways to find Key Pals (e-mail pen pals), here is a new web site that may help you. It is a free service from Mighty Media, creator of Teacher Talk and the Youth in Action Network. KeyPals Club is an easy-to-use web site designed to enable young people and their teachers to locate and correspond with other students and teachers around the world. KeyPals Club makes it easy to start a project with another class, or create a new friendship with someone across the nation or across the globe. You can visit the KeyPals Club to browse or to post a request for a KeyPal. You can find Mighty Media's KeyPals Club at: http://www.mightymedia.com/keypals They are very interested in getting comments from media specialists and teachers. The service is brand new, but there are already quite a few participants. I hope this is helpful. Marcia Agness UNC-Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science agnem@ruby.ils.unc.edu
