Target>Teaching Historical Perspective to 8th Grade

Hello, Netters!
Once again, I turn to you for help when I've exhausted all my other
resources.  The 8th grade Social Studies curriculum changed from US History
to Ancient Civ., Medieval, and Renaissance Era.  The 8th grade Soc. Studies
teachers want to introduce the idea of historical perspective, but would like
a source to guide them through it.  Can anyone out there recommend a
professional journal article, book, teacher's guide, or even a video to show
to classes on this topic?
