 Yes we do.  I actually have a full MARC for each separate magazine
TITLE
 that is circulated often enough to warrent it.  This has the call
number
 MAG then a 3 letter abbreviation then the year on the main MARC, i.e.
 National Geographic for 1994 would be MAG NAG 94.  Then in copy info
 each new mag would get the rest of the date in the call number (October
 issue would be MAG NAG 94/10).  By putting the first part in the full
 MARC it is carried over to the copy so that only the /10 needs to be
 typed; the rest already appears in the copy record.
 THEN
 The next year we use a NEW full MARC for the new year by changing the
 ISSN/ISBN to make it unique, and start over.

 This way each year is together and easy to see missing issues.
