Elem: Bookbrain Software

Is anyone having a good experience with the software Bookbrain from
Sirs? I used it years ago as an Apple II program from Onyx and thought
it was great. (The students keyed in their personal characteristics and
preferences and Dr. Rita Book provided them with a personal suggested
reading list.) I purchased the network Mac program last year, and found
it to be greatly changed. I've had a lot of problems and found it not
to be very user friendly.
Just got a bill for $75.00 to update my license for the year (guess I
didn't read the fine print well when I purchased it) and unless someone
can talk me through making it successful in my elementary school I
think I'm just going to whip it out of my server and retire the CD ROM.
