GEN: Book idea

  I don't know if this book would be considered a tear jerker, but it is for
me - Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney.  It's a wonderful story about living
your dreams and passing beauty on to the world before you leave.

My assistant principal is looking for a tear jerker book to use with
parent volunteers.  She has used Love You Forever before and liked the
effect.  Anyone have any other ideas?
