MID, ELEM: Visiting authors

I am planning an Author Visit for our 5-8 grades.  The two top choices of
teachers and library staff are Gary Paulsen and Karen Cushman.  I am
interested in feedback from anyone who has had one of these authors visit
their school.  What kind of presentation did they do?  How did they relate
to students and how did students relate to them?  What size groups did they
speak to and how did that work logistically?  Any information you can share
will be most appreciated.
