Baggy Pants

A friend of mine who works at Greater SE Hospital in Wash DC told me that the
sociologist there told him that he thought the Baggy pants and loose shoes
were from prison culture.  Somethimes they take your belt and shoelaces so the
new inmates will not hang themselves.  Makes sense to me!  What do you think?
