Interesting! Others who mailed me personally also said baggy pants
originated in a prison culture.  Now why would our kids want to emulate that!

One suggestion was a fun one -- all teachers show up in saggy pants and
walk just like the kids do (saunter?).  They would probably RUN to get
other clothes if we started wearing the same thing!
