Group, I moderate some discussion groups on the Tenet network. Following is a query from the math group (we also have a reading one). If you have ideas, you can send them to me and I'll forward them to the group, or you can send them to Sam himself. I've never met him, but he and Sandie Walser, another math teacher, have created some really neat hands-on math activities. A couple of math teachers in my building came home really praising the workshop. I anticipate that he and his colleagues will come up with some great ideas. I already have a willing science and English teacher, and I'm looking for a social studies teacher. I went to him and asked. We want to identify and have solutions for potential problems. We also want a good plan, so our students won't suffer too much while we learn. We would be interested in thoughts on: Scheduling students Common conference period Ideas for cross-curriculum projects etc. Thanks for any help you can give!
