Dear LM_NETTERS, I am once again asking advice: How many of you are required to put together a portfolio as part of your assessment by your administrators? When I am evaluated, all the teachers, the superintendent, and I meet as a group. The teachers then proceed to tell me what they like and disklike about me and my program. However, I do not undergo regular observations like the other teachers do. Therefore, I am supposed to come up with a portfolio which will help the administration evaluate me at the end of the year. I know what I will put into this portfolio, but I'm not really sure what it should look like, and I have no guidelines as to content, etc. So, does anyone have any suggestions for me? Is anyone else required to do this kind of evaluation technique? I'm not even sure which format is best. I would like to come up with something that would really wow the admin. but I also don't want to do something that will take them a long time to look through. If you feel you have some helpful advice (even encouragement!) please e-mail me at: as42202@navix.net or astotts@esu2.esu2.k12.ne.us TIA - this group has been such a godsend during my first year as a media specialist!
