Hi!  I'm Evelyn Clarke Mott, one of the many children's book authors
participating in this year's Read-In.  On May 9th, students, educators, and
children's book authors will connect over the internet for a celebration of
reading!  At last count, over 108,000 people are joining in on the fun!

Jane Coffey, the Read-In director, is encouraging teachers and students from
kindergarten through high school to spend May 9th with their pillows and
reading materials chatting over the internet with authors.  Join me  (I'll be
on-line at 2:30 ET) and several other authors (Avi, R.L. Stine, Ed Emberley,
et al.)

If you haven't already signed up, please join us! The event is free and is
open to any school with access to the internet.  Microsoft has donated some
great technology that promises to make the event state-of-the-art!
