I don't think it's up to ask if the content of anyone's signature file is really 'appropriate.' Sig files are a way for people to express something about themselves. In my case, I work at the corporation for public broadcasting, so I've got some line art of Sesame Street characters. I could just as easily put "God is Dead - Nietzche", "Rush Limbaugh Rules!", "Christ died for our sins" or "Om, mani padme hum...", but I don't because none of them really show how I feel or how I want to represent myself. While I have nothing against limiting the _discussion content_ of a listserv (as a listserv owner, I try to enforce the rules), but I do have a problem with the idea of questioning how a person chooses to sign their emails. It's their opinion, and if we don't like it, we can bite our tongues and move on to the next message. > > > April 15 -- For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the > > death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his > > [snipped]..... > > > Is this appropriate????? > > > > Susan Roscoe > > LMS > > Duffield Elementary School > > Ronkonkoma, NY > > WW Andy Carvin /__\ acarvin@kudzu.cnidr.org | oo | _WWWWW_ (|_()_|) / o o \ (+)(+) New Media \__/ (| __o__ |) / \ Project Officer /|\/|\ \ \___/ / \ -==- / |||||| /___\ \ / \ The Corporation for |||||| |=========| <\/\/\/> Public Broadcasting |||||| |=========| / \ ********************************************************* Come Visit The EdWeb Project at http://edweb.cnidr.org *********************************************************
