Tech: Netscape 3.0 Gold

Can someone help me?

I was running Netscape 2.0 via a TCP/IP connection at school and decided to
upgrade to 3.0 Gold.  Instead of downloading an upgrade from the Internet, I
purchased Gold separately and installed it, while deleting 2.0.  I cannot
figure out  how to configure the software to recognize a TCP/IP connection
instead of a modem dial-up.  I am now without an Internet connection except
for e-mail.

Please help me.  TIA!
