Two questions: (1) Our associate superintendent wishes to raise students' test grades,e specially in reading. He may be thinking (!) of eliminating elementary school libraries in favor of more teachers/classroom space. We librarians want to show him evidence that having school libraries, and librarians on site, helps greatly to raise test scores. Any ideas on very up-to-date research, articles, etc. that we could find? (2) Nothing to do with libraries, but you all know where to find info. I have a 7-year-old dog who has recently lost her sight. Any ideas, info, experience on helping, retraining a blind dog? TIA for your help. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to: listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write either: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET or 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST For more help see LM_NET On The Web: http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
