middle school reading program ideas

I am looking for something different to do for a reading program this
year. The last 3 years I have used the Illinois program Rebecca
Caudill Young Readers Awards (grades 4-8). My 8th graders are not
interested even though there are occasionally some suitable titles.
I'll still do the Caudill awards for 6th and 7th grades.
