Hi all,
  I thought I'd add this one about signs.
  Years ago, when I was a young student, a little old nun told me about her
interpretation of the sign "Stop ahead." She saw it as: "STOP!!! A head!!!"
(as in stop there's a head in the road). To this day when I see the sign, I
remember the statement and chuckle.
  I use it today as a way of demonstrating for my students how a simple
phrase can be interpreted differently with just one little change (in this
case a space in the word ahead).
