Re: GEN: a librarian's psyche

I have got to brag about THE GIANT'S HOUSE by Elizabeth McCracken.  She
went to my elementary school, Lincoln-Eliot School, in Newton MA and is
remembered by some of the long term teachers there..
Unfortunately I cannot take any credit for her insight into librarians
since she went there some years before I arrived.  The fact that she DID
go to my school has encouraged  many teachers there to read her book and,
hopefully, opened their eyes to what at least public librarians do.

I might add that the only other so-called famous person who went to my
school was Matt LeBlanc of Friends fame.  Also before my time.
