I have inherited a middle school library in extreme need of organization! Since I received so many good ideas for my collection of National Geographics, I thought I'd pose this query as well. I have found tons of catalogs (one four-drawer file cabinet full). They are for the most part arranged alphabetically. I don't remember this being addressed in library school. What should I do with them? Should I weed? Should I throw out any of them? Does there need to be a better organization than the existing one? Another question: What do I need to hook up a computer to a tv monitor so that a program can be viewed by an entire class?
