I am currently taking a course through the Heritage Institute titled How to Use the News Media Across the Curriculum. It is offered exclusively over the Internet and I have up a year to complete the class. One of the assignments for the class is to post a question to a listserv asking questions relating to the course. Once I receive the responses to my questions I will post a HIT. Thanks. 1. Do any of your classroom teachers use the Internet to "gather" news - current or otherwise? If so, what subject areas? 2. Is there a favorite site that they steer their students to? 3. Is the Internet used to replace newspapers? 4. Would you be interested in receiving a list of sites that I have discovered - good and bad - through taking this course?
