Fund raising ideas

I have started a new position this fall and as part of my duties I am
a co-sponsor of the student council.  We are responsible for
homecoming week and have a budget of under $3.00.  Obviously, we need
to raise money quickly.  Does anyone have any great suggestions that
we might borrow?  I would gladly share any information I receive.
