Greetings, We have our new internat lab up and running and everyone is excited to start the year. We have chosen not to use a filtering software (for several reasons, which many of you have already helped me with) and now I am beginning to think about how to effectively present/explain this policy to parents (at Open House and conferences) and students. We are a Christian high school of about 320 students; we also have a very clear AUP with direct and immediate consequences for violations. I will to be using our religion classes for discussion and explanation of our AUP, trying to emphasize the importance of values and choices (without being too heavy-handed about it). Do any of you in similar situations (especially in church-supported schools) have any suggestions or words of wisdom of how to proceed? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!
