And if you haven't heard enough about James Marshall, remind your students to
look for the Texas flags, maps, and other symbols in his books.  He attended
parochial schools in San Antonio and included reminders of his home state in
many of his books, especially the Miss Nelson series and even one or two of
the fairy tales.
