GEN: Display Idea

Hi all!

Thought you might be interested in a bulletin board display that I just
put up in my elemenatary library.  Check out Dale Copp's website for a
listing of special state children's book awards.  Here in PA our
children vote for the PA YOUNG READERS' CHOICE AWARD, other states have
their own awards too. I made a display of book jackets or photocopies of
the book covers when more than one copy was needed for each of the
winners from the different states.  Each state was noted with the
jackets as well as any special name for the award.  As I introduce the
new nominees for PA, the children can see what children all over the US
are reading.  Several of last year's winners are nominees in PA this
year! Several books such as TIME FOR ANDREW were winners in several
different states.

If your state has such an award or even if you don't check out the site.
Sorry I don't have the address with me at home, but since Dale posts
almost every day you should be able to get it easily.
