LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Here are the great suggestions you all sent me for naming my computer.
Actually, I've decided to go ahead and name all the computers in my library
(22) and will use several of them. Many of you shared that you thought
you'd do the same in your library, so here are the suggestions, in case you
want to use any:

Aristotle
Isadora Mudge (said she remembered her from library school, but didn't say
who she
was or what she did. What a great name, tho!)
Marian (by far the most frequent suggestion)
Johann Gutenberg
R2D2
Moby Dic (for Mobile Dictionary)
Leonardo da Vinci
Whoever the patron saint of libraries is
Ichabod Crane
Laura Ingalls Wilder (famous teacher)
name them after favorite book characters
Circe
Athena
Helen Keller
Casanova (he was a librarian!)
founders of my school, school district, town, longtime principal,
superintendents, etc.
of our district
Horace Mann
Mary McLeod Bethune
Anne Sullivan
Miss Frizzle
Alexandria (after the famous library of)
Minnie Sears
Andrew Carnegie
Enoch Pratt
the lions in front of NYPL
Ashurbanipal - founder of one of the first libraries
Eratosthenes (the librarian who measured the earth!)

Since I've already named my 4 travellers Lewis and Clark, Christa McAuliffe
and Amelia Earhart, I have 17 computers to name. What a crazy library this
will be!
