TECH: HP ScanJet 5 pse

Hi Friends,
        I am trying to install an HP ScanJet 5pse on and IBM Aptiva with
Windows 95 Plus.  I can't seem to get the computer to recognize the
hardware.  I went to the HP website and downloaded new drivers but I'm
still not having any luck.  Anyone else had similar problems?  Can
anyone help me?  TIA.
