Our parish (Louisiana doesn't have counties) is automating all of their school libraries this year. There are computer that are being replaced in administrative offices and these will probably be used for OPAC's around the parish in individual schools. I have been asked to come up with guidelines for the number of OPAC's needed in a school library. I assume this would be based on number of students, grade level, number of volumes and faculty. Does anyone have a formula or anything specific that would give us something substantial to base this allocation of computers on. I was sure that this topic had been discussed in the past but I searched the archives and was unable to find my answer. I did find the same question asked and have queried those individuals. With all your combined knowledge, can someone help me with this. I will post a hit if there is enough interest.
