Hit - ethnic americans list

Thanks to Betty & Francine.  A lot of people requested I post a hit
and I'm sorry to have taken so long, but my network was down for
several days.  Here are some resources that were suggested and
Francine even sent me a list!!!

Encyclopedia of
Multiculturalism_, ed. Susan Auerbach.  Marshall Cavendish Corp.,
c.1994.   LC 93-23405  isbn (set) 1-85435-670-4   $430.00?   I also
have an isbn for vol. 6:  1-85435-676-3, and a price of $72.00.

Vol. 6 has lists of entries in the set, by various subject or topic
areas, first by population (ethnic) group, second by 20 subject areas,
such as History, Culture and Community, Labor, Sports, Family Life,
and Arts, entertainment & the Media.  The lists run from page 1774 to
page 1813.  They contain not only people names but also events and
concepts.

I have two sets of books on ethnic groups in America.  One called The In
America Series published by Lerner in 1977 (very old but does have good
background info) and the other is American Voices published 1991by Rourke.
In the back of these books are lists of famous Americans from the various
ethnic background.  If you need more info.  let me know.
