I'm in my first year as a Media Specialist. I am told that our school is planning to have a P.T.A. funded computer academy again this summer in the Media Center. The class will be taught by a fifth grade teacher and book circulation is to take place with him. Last summer book circulation was also opened during this time to the general public. Our school is automated using Alexandria. 1. Does your elementary school media center circulate in the summer? 2. Does inventory take place before summer circulation of materials? 3. Who checks out the books? Library/media personnel, teachers, volunteers? 4. What guidelines are given for summer circulation? 5.
