ThinkQuest is an annual contest that challenges students, ages 12 to
18, to use the Internet as a collaborative, interactive teaching and learning
tool.

ThinkQuest is designed to encourage students from different schools and
different backgrounds to work together in Teams toward creating
valuable educational tools on the Internet while enhancing their
ability to communicate and cooperate in a global, interconnected
environment.

ThinkQuest will help students prepare for a future dramatically

different from today. Students will experience the "Internet style" of

learning, which emphasizes exploration, collaboration and creative

use of the vast resources of the Internet. The quality of the Web

pages inspired by the contest will show how this new and exciting

medium can help millions of students the world over. And, as an

added incentive, students can win awards in the form of college

scholarships (eligible coaches and schools will receive awards in

cash).
