In addition, Mr. Louis Sachar will be available to sign books. He is the
author of over fifteen books for children.

His first book, "Sideways Stories from Wayside School", was accepted for
publication during his first year of law school. After receiving his law
degree, he spent six years asking himself whether he wanted to be an
author or a lawyer before deciding to write for children.

Sachar's unique style of satire and humor for children have provided real
fun and laughter in classrooms. His books, which often spoof that with
which children are most familiar, like school, are extremely popular with
children. Adults, too, find Sachar's well-written, sophisticated comedy
appealing.

Sachar's books include "There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom", "Dogs Don't
Tell Jokes","Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger", and the Marvin
Readpost series. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and daughter.

Pre-registration is required for this conference. Please fill out the form
below and enclose a check or money order for $40.00 (includes conference
and luncheon) or $32.00 (conference only). Make check payable to the
