The LIVE FROM ANTARCTICA 2 WEB SITE FEATURES....

* For the first time... 3 "paths" through the information, for
(1) Students (2) Teachers and (3) Parents and the General Public.

* Students will find a clickable map that will take them to the
Field Journals, Biographies, and descriptions of the places, people
and creatures they'll see on camera.

* Teachers will find the Teacher's Guide online -- Opening and Program 1
Activities are available now! URLs with annotated descriptions
are linked directly into Guide pages. Be sure to check out Donal
Manahan's historical site, and sound recordist Doug Quin's pages,
especially if you're into sound from the Net!

* Key information included: Program descriptions, the Passport to
Knowledge mission, LFA 2 overview, useful help files, Antarctica
background files, ordering the PRINT version of the Teacher's Guide
and Kit, and more.

* Image gallery expanding daily with current graphics direct from
Antarctica--both thumbnail and clickable to full size!

* COMING SOON...interactive game of Antarctic CONCENTRATION which
will test your student's powers of memory and observation, have them compare
and contrasting penguins, and a slider puzzle, AND MORE!

Live From Antarctica 2 is targeted at middle school grades but educators
find PTK projects *easily adaptable* to elementary and high school!

PASSPORT TO KNOWLEDGE "LIVE FROM ANTARCTICA 2" is supported in part
by the National Science Foundation and the Office of Polar Programs, with
satellite telecommunications made possible by NASA's ACTS Satellite
Experiments Program. The on-line and live video portions of
the field trip are partially underwritten by NASA and NSF
and are free to educators.

PBS Teacher Resource Services supports PTK with satellite
time and information and outreach services to PBS stations.
CHECK LOCAL LISTINGS FOR BOTH PBS AND NASA-TV CARRIAGE! PTK
cannot guarantee local broadcast schedules.
