GEN: video tapes

Several parents have come to me about donating used video tapes to the
school library. What does copyright law say about such a thing? Am I
allowed to have Disney videos that are donated in my library? Obviously
these were purchased for home use and we do not have site licenses. The
same is true of donated software. Most of our computers are donated and
have software on them. May we use it?
