I am a high school librarian in Greensburg, PA.  Once or twice a year I offer a
storytelling workshop in the child development classes.  I changed the focus
from "being the storyteller" to "training the storyteller".  This workshop is
very well received with the domestic studies teachers.  I have developed a
workbook which has activites for all types of storytelling (finger plays,
panomine, life lessons, historic, etc).  The students learn from the workshop
and then go to the elementary school to tell a story they selected.  The
workshop is a five day program.
