TECH: Apple emulation card in Mac LC IIIs

Oh Wise Ones,

I am more a PC person, and feel really stupid, but... how do I know if my
LC IIIs have Apple emulation cards?  My principal is looking at software
for PCs and Apples, and the company says that the Macs will run it if we
have this card.

If we don't, is it worth installing on 4+ year old machines?

And while we're on the topic, can you suggest a good book on dealing with
Macs?  I have _MacIntosh for Teachers_ ( in the  "__ for dummies" line, I
believe), but I'm looking for something that would answer some of these
basic questions for me, as well as give me some new ideas for putting those
Macs to their best use.
