ELEM., TECH. : Mac word processing for K-5

Hi everyone,
 You can blame this one on Suzanne, who suggested I turn to all of you for
Mac questions.

We are setting up a publiching center where we will have 8 Mac LCIIIs and a
Deskwriter, not networked.  I need suggestions for appropriate word
processing software to use there.  We have Clarisworks on the two machines
which have previously been used only for teacher workstations.  A teacher
from another school which implemented this program conducted a training
session for the parents and parapros who will be manning the center - I
didn't get to go : (.  This trainer said that she recommends upgrading to
ClarisWorks 4.0 before those computers become a publishing center.  It's
beginning to look like we will have to purchase an upgrade, but before we
do I was wondering if anyone knew of some great wp program for kids, better
for their purposes than Claris.  Little kids (K-2) will be able to type in
their rooms and bring their work on a floppy. 3-5 kids have PCs in their
rooms and will have to do all word processing in the publishing center.
