Standardized Tests and study skills

Pat,
This has been a concern of mine since I became a media specialist two
years ago. We have been automated for over ten years, beginning with
an Apple IIe system. The students in my school have NEVER seen a card
catalog, yet when they take the Iowa Tests Of Basic Skills, they are
asked questions concerning the old fashioned card catalog. Actually I
show them a picture of one and explain to them how it correlates to
our computer catalog. Its like a history lesson. I wrote to the
publishers, with no reply. This would be a wonderful mission for this
group to lobby the testmakers. Let's get together and see if we can
make a change here!
