We are a new 6-12 school (opened last September) with 525 students. We had several 6th and 7th graders express disappointment this past year that none of their classroom teachers wanted to participate in Scholastic Book Club purchases this year. We are considering offering the Tab and Arrow book clubs through the library next year. A copy of each of the monthly brochures would be handed out to homerooms, and students would order their books directly through the library. Would appreciate comments/hints/tips from anyone who has worked with Scholastic book clubs (or has recommendations regarding other company book clubs). What is your opinion of running this program through the library rather than through individual classrooms?
