Opening Day Jitters!

Hello!

This is the first time I've posted to a listserv - pretty exciting!

I am a recent graduate of Library School (LIU's Palmer School of Library and
Info Science) and I will be the Elementary Media Specialist (K-6) for roughly
425-450 students, starting in September.  As you can no doubt imagine, I
have more questions than not, right about now!

But, I did want to track down a really good sequential skills guide, to start
out with.  I have a copy of Carol Kuhlthau's "School Librarian's
Grade-by-Grade
Activities Program:  A Complete Sequential Skills Plan for Grades K-8".  It
is
dated, though, with a copyright of 1981.  I have seen other, even older
books...

If anyone is using or knows of a more recent comprehensive library skills
program
guide I would greatly appreciate getting the info about it.

I have been reading the postings of LM_NET for a few weeks now, and I am
delighted to be joining such a creative group!
