I've run into some anomalies in using e-mail, and so that I have the answers when the questions appear in training sessions, does anyone know: What happens to e-mail messages that get "lost in the air" somewhere? I know that they go as packets, and that these packets have to be re-assembled before the message ends up on the receiving server. But what can happen that a message sent successfully (doesn't bounce back as undeliverable) never gets where it was going? I.e. I'm told that a message was sent Friday afternoon -- it's now Monday evening and I still don't have it, altho' I've received 4-5 other messages from the same source in the interim. I'll post a hit if desired. Joyce Conklin jconkli@ed.co.sanmateo.ca.us Automation Consultant San Mateo Union High School Dist. (ret.)
