I am beginning a new position as the media specialist at a K-5 school. I've run into a problem with the circulation/cataloging system. I can't get it to boot up. When I turn the system on I get a screen asking for a disk. But according to the documentation I've found the system doesn't boot from floppies. Nor is there a floppy for me to boot it from. The bookkeeper told me that the service contract with Follett could not be renewed because the system is antiquated and they are no longer servicing it. I'm at a loss. I can't access anything. The program is Follett Circulation/Cataloguing Plus. It's running on an IBM. The date on it is 1990. What do I do now? Do you think Follett will send someone to help if I explain the situation? Is there something simple I'm missing? School begins in two weeks and my principal expects me to be up and running. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
