Dear group, I just had an interview for an elementary school media specialist position in a school that has an "open library" or a library without walls. I have heard many negative comments over the years on LM_Net about how books walk away easier etc., but I was wondering if anyone with an open library has a positive comment to make. Can anyone tell me some advantages or ideas for using the "open library" concept to create a better educational environment for elementary school students? Please send responses directly to me and I will post a hit. Sincerely, Odile -- Odile Heisel oheisel@pen.k12.va.us unemployed certified media specialist 1997 graduate of James Madison University
