TECH: Graphic Printers?

Our new high school has about $3500. to use for a good graphics
printer.  So far they have looked at the Video Tronics and Graphics
Products printers, but wanted to know if someone on this list might
have knowledge of other makes which should be considered.  - or some
which should be eliminated?
