WRITING ASSESSMENT

We are composing our building goals for the next three years and want to
include a writing component, but we are stuck on finding an assessment for
K-6. We would like a rubric for each grade. The activities are not hard to
develop: portfolios, etc. but finding an assessment that is not all
subjective is the problem...Do any of you have something that works? Any
textbook suggestions?
